A factory worker seriously injured four of his colleagues by crashing into a wall near Perth while they were on their way to start a nightshift.
One was left with a broken spine, two fractured their hips and the fourth broke their jaw, collarbone and an arm in the high-speed accident.
Tomasz Szczepanski, 36, was banned for 14 months and fined £1,000 after he admitted driving carelessly and crashing his Audi A4 on December 6.
Perth Sheriff Court court was told he had taken an alternative route to work because of a crash on the A9 and was unfamiliar with the B9112.
He sustained the most minor injuries of the five in the car.
