A serious road traffic accident has forced the closure of a main road in Perthshire.
It is understood two air ambulances were called to the scene at the A85 at Comrie following the incident shortly after 4pm.
Two male motorcylists were involved in the collision near to Tullybannocher Farm and they were treated at the scene by paramedics before being airlifted to Dundee’s Ninewells Hospital.
Witnesses said the men were both conscious and talking to medical staff at the scene, although the full extent of their injuries is unknown.
The road was closed in both directions by emergency services at the scene and traffic was said to be heavy both ways.
Police warned motorists that the road was expected to be closed for some time and urged people to find an alternative route if possible.
