A two-car crash has caused traffic chaos for evening rush hour commuters at Broxden in Perth.
All three emergency services are at the scene on the M90 close to Broxden Roundabout.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire & Rescue, said: “Fire crews were alerted by ambulance service at 5pm today of a road traffic incident involving two vehicles.
“On arrival it was found that one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles and firefighters at the scene are now in the process of using hydraulic cutting and other specialist equipment to free that person.”
A spokesman for Traffic Scotland, said: “The A9 at the Broxden roundabout is currently restricted due to a road traffic incident.
“Motorists are advised to use caution on approach and allow extra time for their journey.”
Delays of up to 30 minutes are currently being advised with long tailbacks.
