The Met Office has issued a weather warning for parts of Perthshire with up to two inches of rain forecast.
The forecaster has placed a yellow warning onto the western edge of the county, including Kenmore and Comrie, between 3pm today and 3pm Friday.
The warning says that the flooding of a few homes and businesses is “likely” and that
spray and flooding on roads may making journey times longer. Bus and train services are likely to be affected.
The warning added: “Outbreaks of rain will spread east across much of Scotland during Thursday afternoon, this followed by frequent heavy showers which will become mainly focused across Lochaber, Easter Ross, Western Tayside and Northern Argyll.
“Accumulations will be widely 20-30 mm with isolated 50 mm (2 ins) across higher ground, this falling onto already saturated ground. Rain will clear southeastwards through Friday evening.”
