A busy Perth street has been shut down by emergency services due to a reported ongoing incident at a shop.
Multiple fire engines, police cars, ambulances and the air ambulance are in attendance at the scene in Bridgend outside the Co-op shop.
Video of the scene is above this story.
Witnesses at the scene said they believed the shutdown was due to an incident inside the shop.
One witness said: “I first saw them about 7.30am. The fire engines and the police started shooting through.
“They came over the bridge and pulled up outside the Co-op and then the air ambulance arrived.
“There will have been staff inside the shop because it opens around 6am and they do baking and that in there.
“I haven’t seen anyone going in our out since they arrived and they shut down the road just after 8am.”
The road closure has caused huge tailbacks in Bridgend with Isla Road and Strathmartine Road in the city all shut.
