Two people were trapped in their cars following a “serious” two-vehicle accident in Alyth.
Emergency services rushed to the town’s Meigle Road at around 3.15pm.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland confirmed that The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service worked to free the people from their vehicles.
She added that two children were taken to hospital.
