A weather warning has been issued for Tayside after forecasters predicted a downpour in the region later this week.
The Met Office says flooding and travel disruption could hit parts of Perthshire and Angus from Thursday night into Friday morning.
The yellow warning for rain will be in effect from 9pm on Thursday until 9am the next morning.
Forecasters say more than 1in of rainfall, combined with melting snow in the hills, will cause river levels to surge.
There is a risk of flooding and travel disruption.
The Met Office statement reads: “Following recent wet weather, another band of heavy rain will arrive on Thursday evening and continue overnight, easing on Friday morning.
“20mm-30mm of rain is likely to fall within nine-12 hours, and this, combined with snowmelt from the hills, will lead to some rising river levels, and the chance of localised flooding.”
