An elderly man is in a critical condition in hospital after a three-car crash in Clackmannanshire.
His black Vauxhall Viva collided with a silver Volkswagen Passat and a white Audi A6 shortly before 6.15pm on Monday on the A91 between Dollar and Pool of Muckhart.
The 78-year-old was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment to his life-threatening injuries.
The 56-year-old man driving the Audi was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert with serious but not life-threatening injuries, while the 48-year-old driver of the Volkswagen was uninjured.
Police are now appealing for information about the crash, which left the road closed for around seven-and-a-half hours.
Inspector Andrew Thomson said: “We are carrying out inquiries to establish the full circumstances which led to this collision and would urge anyone with information to come forward.
“In particular, we would like to speak to anyone who saw any of the vehicles involved before the crash.
“Any information can be passed to police by calling 101, quoting incident 2991 of March 2.”
