According to new statistics from the Scottish Government, the overall number of positive Covid-19 cases in the area has remained unchanged from Sunday into Monday at 1497. In Fife the overall tally has risen by two from 811 to 813. Tayside is one of five health boards in Scotland to record no new Covid-19 cases overnight. Fewer people are also in local hospitals battling confirmed cases of the virus. The number of people with coronavirus in Tayside hospitals has dropped from 41 to 37; and from 82 to 80 in the kingdom. Five boards reporting no increase in cases today – including Tayside. The number of care homes reporting cases has remained at 609 – the first time since these figures were released that there hasn't been an increase. Another five deaths have been registered, taking the Scottish total to 1,862.
