The collision happened on Wellmeadow Street, near to Lady Lane, in the Renfrewshire town at around 5am on Saturday. The 18-year-old man was taken to the Royal Alexandria Hospital and then transferred to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Medical staff describe his condition as critical, Police Scotland said. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information to get in contact.
