Police are treating the death of a young girl in Glasgow as suspicious.
The girl, understood to be 14-month-old Inayah Ahmed, died in hospital on April 20, three days after “reportedly taking unwell within her home”.
Police Scotland confirmed they are treating her death as suspicious.
A police spokeswoman said: “On Sunday April 17, 2016 a 14-month-old girl was taken to the sick children’s hospital after reportedly taking unwell within her home in Drumchapel, Glasgow.
“She died within the hospital on Wednesday April 20.
“Police are treating her death as suspicious
“Inquiries are continuing and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
