The accident happened in Great Northern Road close to the junction with Don Street at around 5am on Monday. Police said the officers were not injured but the car was damaged. An investigation is to be carried out to find out exactly what happened. It is understood the car was responding to a housebreaking call in the city at the time of the crash.
