A body has been recovered from the Clyde after a car plunged into the river on Thursday.
The car was seen to swerve and hit a number of vehicles before entering the water near the Braehead Shopping Centre at Renfrew around 1.20pm on Thursday.
Early reports suggest the car was being driven by a woman and that a young girl – understood to be her daughter – received treatment at the scene.
Police divers later recovered a body from the river.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “An operation is currently under way after emergency services received a report of a vehicle entering the River Clyde in Renfrew at around 13.20 on Thursday.”
