A climber has died after falling in the Grampian mountains.
The emergency services were alerted after Kieran Shaw, 21, from Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, fell near the east gully of Aonach Mor on the ridge of mountains that includes Ben Nevis.
The accident happened at about 3.30pm on Sunday, with a coastguard rescue helicopter and members of the Lochaber mountain rescue team called out to help.
Mr Shaw, who had been climbing with another man, was taken to Belford Hospital in Fort William but died as a result of his injuries.
Police Scotland confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
