Forecasters are warning parts of Scotland could be colder than the Arctic from Tuesday, with lows down to -15C being predicted.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Tayside and Fife, with ice expected to form overnight and into Tuesday morning.
They have warned there is a chance of difficult driving conditions due to the ice on untreated roads, as well as slippery conditions on pavements and cycle paths.
Low-level Arctic air is set to descend on Scotland, potentially bringing with it a cold spell some forecasters predict will last for up to three weeks.
