Parents across the UK are preparing to fork out an average of of £205 on gifts for their children if they achieve good results in school exams.
A new survey of mums and dads across the country has found that more than three-quarters, or 78%, have promised rewards to their offspring to encourage them to do well.
The research suggests that grade-A students could typically be in line for around £300, about £100 higher than the average amount parents plan to shell out.
The average of £205 per child that parents plan to spend is slightly down on a typical figure of £239 recorded last year, according to the findings from VoucherCodes.co.uk.
