Love haggis? Love ice cream? Well, what about haggis ice cream?
That’s the weird combination dreamt up by an Aberdeen ice cream parlour to celebrate Burns’ Night and, perhaps surprisingly, customers have been queuing up to give it a go.
Mackie’s of Scotland arranged for its one-off flavour – which contains one whole haggis per tub – to be piped into its recently-opened ice cream parlour in the city’s Marischal Square.
Marketing director Karin Haywood said: “It’s Burns Night, so we wanted to just celebrate true Scottish style.”
