Children were evacuated from a Scots secondary school following reports of a “suspect package”.
Pupils were sent home from Rosshall Academy in Glasgow and emergency services were called to the scene just after 8am.
Following a search of the school, nothing was found.
The incident is said to have been dealt with by 10.30am, however pupils will not return until Tuesday.
It is still being investigated and police are treating it as “malicious”.
An earlier statement from Greater Glasgow Police read: “The emergency services are in attendance at Rosshall Academy, Crookston Road, Glasgow after receiving a report of a suspect package shortly after 8.05 am.
“The school was evacuated. It has been closed as a precautionary measure and is currently being searched.
“Roads in the vicinity of the school have also been closed.”
The force later updated: “As a precautionary measure Rosshall Academy, Crookston Road, Glasgow has been searched and nothing suspicious was found.
“The incident is being treated as malicious and will be fully investigated as such.”
