Tayside and Fife is forecast to be hit by heavy rain and strong winds on Friday.
A Met Office yellow warning for rain and wind has been issued and will be in place from 1am until midnight tomorrow.
Gusts could reach up to 60mph in parts, with roads expected to be hit by the downpour.
Locally, there could be disruption on roads and to rail services as a result of the conditions.
The Met Office also warned that a “few homes and businesses” could be affected by flooding.
There will also be a knock-on effect for high-sided vehicles on “exposed routes and bridges”.
A Met Office statement reads: “A spell of heavy rain and strong winds is expected on Friday. A band of heavy rain is expected to move east during Friday with widely 15-25 mm of rain falling and perhaps 50 mm over higher ground.
“This will be in addition to other spells of heavy rain earlier in the week affecting a similar area.
“Rain will be accompanied by strong winds with gusts of 50mph possible inland and perhaps 60mph around some coasts.”
