A Scottish village has been hit by heavy snowfall in the middle of spring.
Flurries of the white stuff took locals in Braemar by surprise on Tuesday morning.
Braemar Media took to Facebook and Twitter to share footage of the heavy snow.

The Met Office said a low of -6.2C was recorded in Kinbrace in the Highlands overnight from Monday into Tuesday.

A post on the group’s Facebook page reads: “Snowfall returned to cover Braemar and the Cairngorms National Park in Aberdeenshire Scotland overnight and today.
“This (video) shows red deer grazing in the snow around Braemar and the extent of snow around Braemar Castle, The Fife Arms and Braemar Gathering and Highland Games Centre.”

Last week, snow showers were reported in areas of Aberdeenshire as the weather took a turn for the worst.

The dropping temperatures have arrived after Scotland enjoyed a sweltering Easter Holiday weekend.
It comes after Scotland’s ski resorts suffered one of their worst ever seasons.
