A Pitlochry piper has unveiled a toe-tapping march in honour of the work carried out by Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) paramedics. Ross McNaughton, piping instructor at the Robert Gordon College in Aberdeen, penned Angels Of The Glens in tribute to the crew of Scotland’s only charity-funded helicopter air ambulance service. The 40-year-old from Pitlochry has been piping since he was six years old. He is pipe major with the Vale of Atholl Grade Four Development Pipe Band, and a piper with The Atholl Highlanders.
Sculpture student Lauren Holehouse with her installation titled Production Line at the media preview of the Edinburgh College of Art degree show in Edinburgh. Work by more than 500 graduates will go on display at the show which runs for nine days in June at the Edinburgh College of Art.

Emeli’s tour will take her across Scotland as she searches for the best performers to join her on her new BBC Scotland show Emeli Sande’s Street Symphony.
Scottish Conservative leader Ruth Davidson, Managing Director of People's Postcode Lottery Clara Govier and Education Secretary John Swinney at the People's Postcode Lottery launch of "Small Change: How charity lottery limits impact on small charities" at The Scottish Parliament. Among the topics discussed was raising the current limit from £10 million to £100 million – which could help generate more money for good causes across the country.
A league of superheroes has assembled in a Perthshire village. Residents in Inchture have welcomed a host of colourful characters into their front gardens, as excitement builds for the village’s comic book-themed summer gala. Families are invited to follow a trail around the area to search for well-known faces like Batman, Superman, Spider-man and Iron Man. Maps for the village’s first Superhero Challenge are on sale at the Olly Bobbins florist and gift shop, with all proceeds going towards gala funds.
Inside the new Hilltop Primary School in Airdrie, a "stunning" £17 million development that was created following the merger of Dunbrobin and Petersburn Primaries. The building also includes a nursery and a Language and Communication Support Centre.
