A huge blaze has broken out at a Scots football club’s home stadium.
The fire broke out at Newtown Park, Bo’ness United’s grounds, at about 1.30pm.
Four fire and rescue appliances were called to the scene from Bo’ness, Falkirk, Broxburn and Bathgate.
The blaze is said to be contained to a single building on the football grounds.
The cause of the incident is not yet known, however the club believe it started in the new astroturf due to be laid at he grounds in the summer.
A fire and rescue spokeswoman said: “The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was alerted at 1.29pm on Tuesday, June 4 to reports of a fire at a football ground in Bo’ness.
“Operations control mobilised two fire appliances to Jamieson Avenue. Our firefighters are currently working on extinguishing the fire at a single-storey building.
“Crews remain in attendance.”
Bo’ness United’s posted: “From what we can tell it’s the new astroturf that was to be laid over the summer”.
