Sir Rod Stewart will play a second Aberdeen show of 2019 this winter.

The rocker has announced he will be returning to the north-east for a show at the new P&J Live venue on Saturday, December 7 as part of his winter tour.

The news comes just hours after Sir Rod brought his latest show in the Granite City to a close, having played to a sold-out AECC on Tuesday evening.

He will be one of the first musicians to play P&J Live, Scotland’s newest and biggest indoor arena.

The UK winter tour of 11 shows includes three nights at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

Sir Rod said: “Last night was a phenomenal sell-out show which I’m so glad we could make happen, so I’m delighted to tell you all that I’m coming back.

“You know I love performing in Scotland, so as well as my three shows down the road in Glasgow I’m coming to Aberdeen again too.

“It will be great to see you all again so get ready to party with me this December.”

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 9am from www.livenation.co.uk
