An indie music sensation’s show in the north-east will be Scotland’s biggest ever indoor arena gig, it has been revealed.
As reported in the Evening Express, Glaswegian singer-songwriter Gerry Cinnamon will play at P&J Live, Scotland’s major new live music venue, on Saturday, November 23. The event has sold-out.
Some 15,000 people are expected to attend the Aberdeen gig.
Posting to Twitter he said: “New UK/IRE tour sold-out sharpish. I’m told Aberdeen going to break the record for the biggest ever indoor show in Scotland. Nice one. See you in Nov/Dec.”

The acoustic musician’s popularity peaked in 2018 with his honest, street-wise lyrics – sung with a strong local accent – winning over an army of devout fans.
Cinammon played TRNSMT once again in July and also packed out the John Peel tent at Glastonbury in June.
Louise Stewart, head of entertainment, marketing and exhibitions at P&J Live, said the show is now sold-out at full standing capacity.
She added: “We couldn’t be happier that Gerry Cinnamon’s upcoming show at P&J Live has sold-out, but to break the record for the biggest ever indoor show in Scotland is a fantastic achievement.
“This is definitely the start of an amazing journey for the venue and all before we even open our doors for the first time. Gerry’s gig will be a great night for all attending.”
P&J Live is a state-of-the-art concert, exhibition, conference and banqueting venue in Aberdeen which plans to attract the biggest stars to the north-east.
