We’ve all dreamed of the moment: Clinching a winning putt that a pro has just missed, with an audience of thousands watching.
An American fan – one David Johnson from North Dakota – was overheard heckling Rory McIlroy with a claim that he could make a shot from 12 feet away during practice for this weekend’s Ryder Cup in Minnesota.
Mr Johnson was then invited by Swedish pro Henrik Stenson to have a go while his playing partner Justin Rose placed a $100 bill beside the hole.
The heckler became the heckled, with those on the sidelines ramping up the pressure. The putt was sunk, he pumped his fists like Tiger Woods and claimed the glory.
