EA Sports made the move today, sending a message to players of the popular football game reading: “Wear this kit and crest in support of the friends, family, and fans of Chapecoense.”
The gesture was a hit with fans, who took to Twitter to applaud EA Sports.

The team had a rags-to-riches progression through the league and had made a spectacular run to the final of the Copa Sudamericana – South America’s version of the Europa League.
The Fifa 17 tribute comes as Brazil’s top teams offer to loan the small club players next season so they can rebuild, while the team’s Copa Sudamericana final opponents Atletico Nacional have asked that the title be given to Chapecoense.
