He might have fallen to 898th in the rankings but Tiger Woods’ return to professional competition is still big news.
Woods returns to golf at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas this week after spending more than a year out from the sport having undergone surgery on back problems.
The 40-year-old has said he is moving into “phase two” of his life but the interest around the 14-time major tournament winner’s return suggests the public are as excited to see him as they were at the start of his career.

Does Woods still have the magic that earned him the Tiger Slam in 2001?

But most of all, it was the return of Tiger’s famous drive that got people talking. Think Roger Federer’s backhand or David Beckham’s free-kicks.
