Like a scene straight out of Rocky III, a press conference for the upcoming heavyweight bout between Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte quickly escalated.
After telling his opponent to “take a chill pill”, Chisora picked up and threw a table in the general direction of Whyte’s team before a brawl with security ensued.
It’s not the first time sparks have flown between the two London boxers outside of the ring. Security was required to keep them apart during the filming of a recent episode of ‘The Gloves Are Off’.
Whyte will defend his British heavyweight title against Chisora this coming Saturday at Manchester Arena.
Promoter Eddie Hearn told Sky Sports that the fighters will weigh in separately ahead of the match.
“We will now ensure that the next time these fighters see each other will be in the ring on Saturday night,” he said.
