Watch: Darth Santa rides unicycle through ‘Hoth’ playing fiery bagpipes

Here’s an occurrence you just don’t see often enough.

In honour of recently released Star Wars prequel Rogue One, roving musician The Unipiper made the most of a rare snow storm in his native Portland and took to the streets of “Hoth” on his trusty unicycle.

Of course, he dressed as iconic arch villain Darth Vader – complete with kilt – and let loose with the theme tune to the long-running sci-fi saga on bagpipes to mark the special occasion.

The latest stand-alone movie (if we’re counting 1984’s Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure) illustrates the story of how the rebel alliance succeeds in securing plans for the Death Star.

Fans lined up at Dundee’s Camperdown Cineworld to watch the first screening roll, with many young Padawans dressing for the occasion.

Barely 24 hours after release, the film already looks poised to beat Bridget Jones’s Baby at the box office.
