MPs aren’t exactly known for experimenting with the boundaries of style and fashion when they attend the Commons Chamber, but one man is pushing the sartorial boat out.
Conservative MP Peter Bone turned up wearing a ‘crazy hat’ in the House of Commons today.
Peter Bone just breached Commons rules to wear a hat to highlight his local charity. No, really. pic.twitter.com/x6nImvCrko

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Bone was just wearing the hat to show off his style credentials, but rather to support his local charity Crazy Hats, which has raised over £2 million from people wearing outlandish headgear.
Even though the Speaker may not have been thrilled by Bercow’s brightly coloured accessory, some people were rather impressed by it.
@PeterBoneMP Fair play to you Sir. Not many could carry off that look in the Commons.

Some think this could herald a new, more musical, future for the MP.

Good to see Dappy influenced you when N-Dubz played at party in the park @PeterBoneMP what a man https://t.co/8uGu8JwPs6

Others aren’t entirely convinced it was a conscious sartorial decision.
MP: Nice to see you doing the Crazy hats charity thing Peter!

Haters will say it’s photoshopped, but this is 2016 and anything is possible.

Maybe this is merely the beginning of Bone’s foray into the world of hats?

We’ll be keeping a closer eye on the street style of the House of Commons in the near future just in case Bone comes up with the goods again.
