Singer Ariana Grande has said she will return to Manchester to play a benefit concert for the victims of Monday night’s terrorist attack.
The singer posted a lengthy message on Twitter on Friday night where she said her “heart, prayers and condolences” were with the victims of the Manchester Arena attack.
She said: “I’ll be returning to the incredibly brace city of Manchester to spend time with my fans and to have a benefit concert in honor of and to raise money for the victims and their families.”

It is the signer’s first comment on the attack since Monday night when she posted this message in the immediate aftermath of the attack:

Twenty-two people, including seven children, were killed in Monday night’s attack, which occurred as fans were leaving the Manchester Arena following the conclusion of Ariana Grande’s concert.
The 23-year-old singer also posted a link to the Manchester Evening News’ fundraising page for victims of the atrocity.

Police investigation the bombing have made a number of arrests since Monday.
A number of people believed to be part of the same terror networks as bomber Salman Abedi have been arrested.
