Kezia Dugdale has joined the I’m A Celebrity TV show, but has not got off to the best of starts.
Introduced alongside fellow new campmate DJ Iain Lee, Dugdale was soon pitched into action with a first “10 Downing Creek” challenge to collect red stars from a series of boxes containing crabs, snakes and other off-putting inhabitants.
Dugdale, who has said she hopes her appearance will allow her to communicate politics with new audiences, will no doubt have been delighted to see the boxes emblazoned with sophisticated titles including Theresa Dismay, Jeremy Crawbyn and even Sickola Sturgeon.
Despite her best efforts, Dugdale was well beaten in the challenge by Lee and as a result has seen her party demoted to a basic camp with very few creature comforts.
Lee’s reward for winning the challenge is a relatively luxurious bedroom and the status as camp Prime Minister.
