It’s been a wonderful year of wedding bells and babies for the royal family this year.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third baby Prince Louis Arthur Charles was born on April 23 in the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington.

“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs,” Kensington Palace announced. Prince Louis weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces at birth, more than Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

May 19 saw the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Meghan’s engagement ring was designed by Harry and then made by court jewellers Cleave and Company, using one diamond sourced from Botswana and two smaller stones from Princess Diana’s collection.

A second royal wedding followed on October 12 when Princess Eugenie of York married wine merchant Jack Brooksbank in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
