Three women, including a pensioner aged 81, were left “shaken and upset” after being held up at gunpoint by armed robbers.
Three masked men, two of them armed with handguns, burst into the women’s home in Dunmurray, Antrim, on Friday night before fleeing in a silver car with a “substantial sum” of money.
They threatened the three women, aged 81, 49 and 25, at gunpoint before tying up the 49-year-old, the Police Service of Northern Ireland said.
Detective Constable Fiona Mills said: “This was a despicable act perpetrated against three generations of the one family. All of these women have been left understandably extremely shaken and upset by the ordeal.”
The incident took place in Glenfearna Garden at around 10.45pm on Friday.
