Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have revealed their baby boy to the world.
He has been named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.
The Countess of Dumbarton, 37, gave birth to the royal on Monday at 5.26am. He weighed 7lbs 30z.
The couple proudly showed Archie of to the world for the first time at St George’s Hall, Windsor Castle, describing him as having the “sweetest temperament”.
The newborn’s name was revealed after Meghan’s mum Doria Loyce Ragland, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh were photographed meeting him at Windsor Castle.
On Wednesday afternoon, a statement was posted to the Royal Family’s Twitter account which read: “The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were introduced to the newborn son of The Duke & Duchess of Sussex at Windsor Castle. Ms Doria Ragland was also present.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are delighted to announce that they have named their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.”

Speaking to the Press Association earlier in the day, the countess said: “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy.”

As her husband held their son, Meghan added: “He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm.”
As they both laughed, Harry said: “I don’t know who he gets that from.”
Meghan added: “He’s just been the dream so it’s been a special couple of days.”
Asked who Archie takes after, Meghan said: “We’re still trying to figure that out.”
Harry said: “Everyone says that babies change so much over two weeks we’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month really. But his looks are changing every single day, so who knows.”
Asked how he found parenting, Harry added: “It’s great. Parenting is amazing. It’s only been two and a half days, three days, but we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy and be able to spend some precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”
Archie is seventh in line to the throne and the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh’s eighth great-grandchild and the Prince of Wales’s fourth grandchild.
