Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Service, Cressida Dick attended a special service to mark 100 years since women joined the force in London today.
The Met has been celebrating the history of the role of women in the force with commemorative events, which culminated in the service at Westminster Abbey that mirrored an event that took place a century ago when a group of female officers appeared in uniform for the first time.
