Each week, we will take you on a trip back in time with a selection of photographs picked from DC Thomson’s vast archives. This week, the focus is on Aberfeldy.
Our first image shows a group of youngsters trying to keep in step with members of the Black Watch Band, during a march through the town. The photo was taken on November 16 1987.
The second photo dates from August 1964 and shows a general view of the show ground at Aberfeldy Agricultural Show.
In the third picture, from June 21 1992, brave community members take part in the Aberfeldy to Kenmore raft race. What a lot of fun!
The fourth photo shows a woman weaving at Haggarts tweed shop on August 31 1993.
The fifth picture in undated but shows a horse and cart along with some workers outside the town’s original laundry.
The final photo, from April 27 1988, shows some of the guests invited to a preview of Aberfeldy Water Mill.
