A pair of passionate pigs caught on camera behind Liberal Democrat leader Willie Rennie have passed to the great sty in the sky.
The dynamic duo, who stole the limelight during the Holyrood election when they got amorous during a TV interview with the North East Fife MSP, are no more.
A worker at Gorgie City Farm in Edinburgh confirmed the beasts have been killed and used for meat. They agreed when The Courier suggested they are “now sausages”.
A BBC video went viral as the animals rumbled into shot while Mr Rennie said: “We like to organise our visits to send a message in pictorial terms exactly what we’re asking for, and I think this does it very well today.
“I don’t quite know how but it certainly does it in some way, somewhere, and somebody will work it out at some point.”
