The sports minister has been ridiculed for getting the name wrong of Scotland’s opening scorer in the crunch tie against Slovenia.
The SNP’s Aileen Campbell, the Scottish Government’s public health and sport minister, revealed her joy on Twitter at Leigh Griffiths’ first half strike in the World Cup qualifier.
But she got the Celtic forward’s first name wrong by calling him Neil in the tweet, which has been deleted.
Neil Findlay, the Labour MSP, poked fun by describing the sports minister as having “her finger on the pulse”.
