Stewart Hosie is to marry again following his split with fellow Dundee politician Shona Robison.
The Dundee East MP proposed to his girlfriend Serena Cowdy over the festive season and they plan to tie the knot this year.
Mr Hosie stepped down as the SNP’s deputy leader, a role which included leading the charge for a fresh independence referendum, following allegations about his private life in May 2016.
Mr Hosie and Ms Robison, who represents Dundee East in Holyrood and is Health Secretary, separated amid those allegations, ending a marriage of nearly 20 years.
In a statement, Mr Hosie said: “Serena and I are delighted to announce that we got engaged last week and intend to get married later this year.”
