The rise of robots should be seen as an opportunity and not just a threat, says Nicola Sturgeon.
A Centre for Cities this week report found one in four Dundee jobs could be lost by 2030 because of automation and globalisation.
Dundee was the only Scottish location to make the top 10 of British cities most at risk.
The SNP leader said that automation should be seen as “not just as a threat, but as potentially a very big opportunity”.
Speaking at First Minister’s Questions, she said: “That is why I talk often about the need for Scotland to see itself not just as a user or consumer, but as the inventor, designer and manufacturer of new technologies.”
