A high level police probe has been launched into gruesome death threats sent to dozens of MPs including Jeremy Corbyn and David Cameron.
The Courier can reveal the Met Police is coordinating an investigation into a chilling message and photograph of a decapitated man sent to more than 50 politicians.
Extra security has been put in place for those targeted, which includes Fife representative Douglas Chapman and Perthshire’s Tasmina Ahmed-Sheikh.
The email read: “I will kill you and your family.”
Police Scotland Chief Superintendent Craig Naylor said: “Appropriate advice has been given concerning personal safety and security for the politician, their families, staff and premises.”
