Former deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg loses seat

Former deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has lost his seat to a Labour candidate.

The one-time leader of the Liberal Democrat party was beaten by Jared O’Mara in the battle for the Sheffield Hallam constituency.

Mr Clegg held the seat since 2005.
