He is in a discussion with a friend regarding this. Bob reckons they played in different eras, but his friend reckons they were capped together at least once. Ian Ure won the first of his Scotland caps against Wales in November 1961 while a Dundee player. That same year, he also played in the 4-2 loss to Czechslovakia in a World Cup qualifying play-off. Eight further appearances for the national team came in 1962 and 1963 against Wales, Northern Ireland (2), England, Austria, Norway (2) and Spain. His 11th and final cap came in 1967 against Northern Ireland. Billy Bremner’s initial appearance in a Scotland shirt came in May 1965, a goalless draw at home against Spain.
