Fresh from their round on Carnoustie Links, Dave Farrell of Californian rock band Linkin Park and pro golf partner Eddie Pepperell spoke to The Courier.
The duo teed off with European Tour veteran Paul McGinley and Twin Peaks actor Kyle MacLachlan for what transpired to be a particularly difficult round.
“It was rough. This is my first time playing here at Carnoustie,” said Mr Farrell.
“That’s why they call it Carnasty,” added Mr Pepperell. “I was hanging in there for the first nine, we were into the wind quite strong. I was happy to get through that under par, but I let a few slip at the back. Today was tough for everyone.”
After the pair take to Kingsbarns for their third round in the championship tomorrow, Mr Farrell revealed that he’ll be returning to work on his multi-platinum selling band’s as yet untitled seventh LP, which he hopes to be released in early 2017.
They also discussed their Dunhill Championship alliance and the Ryder Cup outcome. Watch the full interview above.
