Montrose manager Stewart Petrie thinks time has flown by since his team started their fabulous winning run.
The Gable Endies’ 3-0 triumph over Forfar in the Angus derby last weekend was their sixth successive victory.
It all started with a 4-3 thriller against Peterhead at Links Park on September 28.
It is the Blue Toon they face again this afternoon, this time up the road at Balmoor.
Petrie said: “That game against Peterhead doesn’t seem that long ago!
“The matches are coming around thick and fast, I suppose.
“That was the one that started the winning run for us but I remember that it could have gone either way.
“We have kicked on since then and the players deserve a lot of credit for stringing six wins together.
“What has helped is that we haven’t had to change the team around too much and the breaks have gone our way, getting decisions and goals at the right time.”
The defeat of the Loons last Saturday put Petrie’s men up into fifth spot in League One and they are carrying plenty of momentum.
The Montrose manager added: “Things are going well fgor us but there is no one at the club who is getting carried away.
“I am looking for more of the same from the players up at Peterhead because no one gets an easy game up there.
“It will be tough but we will travel with confidence after what was a very good derby win.”
Montrose, who have facilitated the move of Martyn Fotheringham to Forfar as a coach, are getting close to full strength, with Paul Watson available and Lewis Milne having returned to training.
