Brechin City have signed midfielder Martin Scott from Cove Rangers on a permanent deal until May 2021.
What has been a busy transfer window for the Glebe Park side has continued with the recruitment of 33-year-old Scott, who is known as Jimmy.
He is a man of many clubs and has also been on the books of Livingston, Ross County, Hibs, Raith Rovers, Arbroath, Stenhousemuir and Cowdenbeath, as well as playing in India for a spell.
Brechin boss Mark Wilson was happy with this latest bit of business, saying:”Jimmy is another player that fits all of the criteria that we were looking for.
“I’m delighted to have him on board.
“A player with a wealth of experience – that’s what we set out to get.
“He is somebody at the top end of the pitch who knows how to score goals and bring other people into play.
“The amount of clubs and the success he’s had throughout his career testifies to that.
“He is coming from a winning team, who will win the division, and he has been a regular in that side.
“He was looking for a fresh challenge so we’re delighted to get him,” added Wilson.
“He is a great addition to the dressing room, will add character and will help bring on the young boys as well.
“We can’t wait to see him get started and he’s really up for the challenge of helping Brechin City.”
