Dunfermline have set a new £50,000 target for their Support the Pars fundraising campaign.
The East End Park side said they were “delighted and humbled” that their £40,000 goal had been reached and are now aiming higher.
The club said: “We are both delighted and humbled to announce that after only three weeks and three days since the launch of Support the Pars, we have reached our £40,000 target.
“A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed at this extremely difficult time. Your support is hugely appreciated.
“Following the announcement from the Scottish FA last week that the suspension of the game will be extended until at least 10th June, and the delay in being able to sell season tickets and new kit from the club shop as it’s still unable to open, it’s clear our club will continue to need our help.
“The fans groups who came together to come up with the Support the Pars campaign have agreed to set a new target of £50,000 so we can continue to bridge the gap that little bit longer.”
