Arbroath boss Dick Campbell has sent out a “clear message” to the rest of League Two after making no less than four new signings.
The veteran manager pulled off a major coup last week when he persuaded former Red Lichties favourite Steven Doris to return to the club and he has now drafted in Omar Kader, Michael Dunlop and Gavin Malin from Forfar as well as Ryan McCord from Championship side Raith Rovers.
Campbell is also close to adding others to his roster with the Gayfield boss determined that his side will mount a big promotion push next season.
He said: “I am delighted to have brought players of this calibre to the club.
“Three of them are from higher leagues and it speaks volumes that they wanted to come to Arbroath.
“I am also close to bringing more in and I signed Steven Doris last week.
“This all sends out a clear message that Arbroath Football Club are very determined to be serious challengers for promotion next season.”
