Brechin will be boosted on their return for pre-season training on Saturday with two key players set to sign new deals with the club.
Willie Dyer and James Dale more than played their part in the last campaign as the Angus side negotiated their famous “Great Escape” to avoid relegation from League One.
City boss Darren Dods was understandably keen to bring them back and both have now agreed to put pen to paper.
The manager said: “Willie has decided to take up the option of another year.
“I am delighted he will be coming back as he was great for us in the second-half of the season once he had made the adjustment from full-time football with Dundee to part-time at Brechin.
“James has also all but agreed to come back. He was another who did really well for us.
“James has just graduated from Stirling University and he has applied for a lot of jobs but he loved Brechin and the team and was keen to come back.
“However, we are aware that if he was to get a job down south, then he will be away.
“But for the moment we are delighted that he will be back with us.”
